Purpose. Design

Charles W. Jacobs Jr. grew up with art, in a household of artists. Throughout the first 10 years of his life he lived in an art gallery. His parents owned and curated Galerie Triangle which doubled as his home. He feels the art in everything, the creativity. As a toddler, riding down the street with his father, Charles was struck by the vision of a building. He asked, “How did it get there?” The magical alchemic word “architect” was introduced to him and with it, a new world, a new vision, a passion. In Washington, D.C.’s school system he graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar’s esteemed Pre-Engineering program ranked top ten in his class, and won scholarships to attend Catholic University. He earned a degree from their advanced placement Master of Architectural Studies, Emergent Technology and Media program.

Early in an architect’s education, it is naturally of paramount importance to learn the basics: to grasp the concepts of form and function, hand draw and interpret perspectives, axonometric, plans, sections, and physical model building. After his first architectural computer studio class, Charles vastly advanced his learning and experimentation with a multitude of software. He instinctively knew highly advanced 3D and 2D graphical computer skills would assist him to take on a multitude of design jobs. Perseverance, conviction in pioneering, and countless hours of study and practice paid off. While working with numerous firms his computer skills placed him in the invaluable position of working on all phases of design. Everything related to design crossed his desk. He created building concepts, helped sell those concepts through multidimensional

digital presentations, and progressed them into working buildings, while maintaining their aesthetic, spatial, and structural integrity.

Charles works with all facets of design hoping to contribute to our living environment. With each passing project he nurtures, hones, and explores the skills, the art and the vision of architecture, technology, material, design, and the natural environment. With each passing project Charles continues to strengthen his design lithe, the ability to design with effortless grace.

Ideas need to become drawings, and then working prototypes. Through concept sketching, 3D renderings, 3D CAD creation, and product animations, every aspect of the product will be explained. An explanation of the product and/or idea will be formulated.

Purpose.  Design

Designers, inventors, property owners, and developers often need to see something tangible before they invest time and money. An image of the final product can also be used to market a product before it is physically conceived. Designers and inventors need 3D visualization to efficiently progress the intensely iterative design process. 3D Visualizations will give invaluable knowledge to make quick decisive decisions.
