This 324 guest room mixeduse project was designed for New York Avenue and First Street NE. The contemporary form folds to follow New York Avenue as it diagonally cuts through the regulated city grid. Mostly stone, the north façade is an abstraction of both the city grid and the traffic that rushes through its streets. Layered and folding glass strips spring in and out of the prominent glass form to create the south façade.
